The CA18214 has filled the gap in the literature about new working spaces/collaborative spaces/ hybrid spaces. Since 2020, several publications have focused on this topic, and the majority of those have been written by the CA18214 members (see section “Action Publications”). In 2024, a working paper by Eurofound ( cited the Cost Action CA18214 project and a few CA18214 publications.

The cooperation of the CA18214 members was successful. The members organised Summer Schools (, implemented the topic of new working spaces in academic courses, discussed the issue of new working specs in rural and peripheral areas with policy makers at local, national and international level.  Finally, the CA18214 members have proposed several national and European projects, of those some have been founded (see section Action Proposals / Projects) like a Horizon project, and an ITN-Marie Curie Project (
