Our Cost Action 18214 started investigating the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic by interviewing managers, policymakers, experts and coworkers worldwide. Webinars are run via Facebook.

The second live webinar will be on Wednesday, 13th May.

THE RECORDING OF THE INTERVIEWS IS AVAILABLE AT https://www.facebook.com/COSTActionCA18214NeW.Sp/videos/542763810003913.

The Webinar focuses on the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on new working spaces and will discuss with three experts about the renovated role of peripheral areas as places where to carry out remote or smart working. Ignasi Capdevilla will describe the typologies of new working spaces and workers in peripheral areas; Heike Mayer will discuss the role of slow innovation and entrepreneurship in the periphery; Patricia Melo will focus on the positive effects of smart and remote working on the reduction of congestion and commuting in cities.

The COSTAction Chair, Ilaria Mariotti, discussed these issues with 3 COST members: Ignasi Capdevilla (PSB Paris School of Business in Paris, France), Heike Mayer (Institute of Geography & Center for Regional Economic Development, University of Bern) and Patricia Melo (ISEG – Lisbon School of Economics and Management, University of Lisbon).
